There are much bigger smartwatches on the market and I believe Apple will not be troubling those for the Biggest Watch Ever accolade. On the other hand, I took a long time to try out a Plus size iPhone and now I’m a convert, so maybe I just need another leap of faith.
I use a 45mm Series 7 and it’s easily big enough for me, so maybe I’m not in that subset. He says, “I’m told that the high-end model is going to be a good bit bigger than the standard Apple Watch-big enough that it might only appeal to a subset of customers.” But now, Gurman indicates it will be so big that it could people off.
It had been though that the bigger display would be accommodated in a Watch not much bigger than the larger Series 7. Having heard rumors that the Pro would come with a display that’s around 7% bigger than on Series 7, measuring almost exactly 2 inches on the diameter, more details are suggested now. That doesn’t tell us exactly what the Pro model will look like, but it very specifically rules out what many people thought it would.
